Compassionate Funeral and Cremation Services
Marc often shares with families that a funeral can help in coming to terms with change. With the coffin present, it provides a moment to acknowledge and honour your loved one in a way that can feel more personal than a memorial service.
A Funeral with Cremation can be held in a church, crematorium, or cemetery chapel. As part of any cremation, we provide a durable and elegant tube urn, which can also be used for scattering the ashes.
Clothing and Viewing
If you would like your loved one dressed in specific clothing, we can arrange that as part of our service. A funeral also gives you the opportunity to personally place items into the coffin — or we can do so on your behalf.
And if you would like a viewing before the service, normally the easiest option is on the day of the service, if it is to occur at a cemetery chapel or church. An alternative, at additional cost, is in a small chapel either in Smeaton Grange (near Campbelltown, NSW) or in Tuggerah, NSW.
Funeral at a Crematorium Chapel
The main advantage of holding a service at a crematorium or cemetery chapel is the ease of arrangement. Many chapels have a concierge to manage audio-visual equipment, photos, and music, ensuring everything runs smoothly. Additionally, most memorial parks with a chapel also offer on-site catering or have suitable venues nearby for refreshments after the service.
Some families appreciate that the cremation takes place on-site, offering a sense of finality.
Funeral at a Church
If you are part of a church or would like to hold the service at one locally, we can reach out to the church on your behalf.
Older church buildings often require at least four, sometimes six, people to carry a coffin or casket up the steps. In contrast, more modern churches with level access or a ramp typically only need three people for this task.
One key benefit of holding a service at a church, rather than at a crematorium, is that there is no strict time limit, allowing the service to be more personal and unhurried.
Many families who choose this option prefer for the cremation to take place later, unattended. In this arrangement, the committal happens at the church, allowing family and friends to gather there or nearby for refreshments afterwards.
