Serving Families on the Central Coast since 2016
Prior to founding Marc and Friends—and ever since—we have had the privilege of personally caring for families across our beautiful Central Coast, from the southern bays to the northern lakes, and from the coastline to the hinterland.
We have supported families in the southern region, including Bateau Bay, Chittaway Bay, Erina, Gosford, Green Point, Kincumber, Lisarow, Narara, North Avoca, Ourimbah, Palmdale, Saratoga, Terrigal, The Entrance, Tuggerah, Umina Beach, Wamberal, Woy Woy, and Wyoming.
And in the northern region: Blue Haven, Budgewoi, Charmhaven, Doyalson, Gorokan, Halekulani, Kanwal, Lake Munmorah, The Entrance, Tuggerah, Wadalba, and Wyong.
Cremation-Only with Personal Touches (also known as Direct Cremation)
Most families we have cared for opt for cremation in Sydney, with the ashes returned to the Central Coast. This is by far the most cost-effective option. However, some families have preferred cremation at Palmdale Memorial Park or Lake Macquarie Memorial Park, respectively.

Funerals with Cremation
Funerals at Greenway Chapel & Memorial Gardens, Green Point
Few chapels in Australia offer such exceptional views as Greenway Chapel, with floor-to-ceiling windows on three sides, overlooking the trees.
For services at Greenway, Marc often encourages families to consider booking extra chapel time to avoid feeling rushed, especially if you wish to have a private viewing beforehand.
After the service, there are tea rooms within easy walking distance of the chapel.

Funerals at Palmdale Memorial Park, Palmdale
Families who want a simple service tend to choose the Rose Chapel (seating 75). For a larger service, the Hillside Chapel accommodates 170 guests. Both chapels have a viewing room available, and a hearse is required to deliver the coffin.
After the service, families can have refreshments with a short walk over the footbridge nearby.

Funerals at a Church with an Unattended Cremation
Many families who choose to have a funeral service at a church prefer for the cremation to take place later, unattended. In this arrangement, the committal happens at the church, allowing family and friends to gather there for the full service.
One advantage of this approach is that refreshments can be arranged immediately after the service, making it easier for guests to stay and support one another without the need to travel to a second location.

Cemetery Options on the Central Coast
Whilst there are many cemeteries on the Central Coast, below are the most common ones, in order of families’ preferences.
Palmdale Memorial Park
For burials in the newer section of the cemetery, there is now an outdoor chapel. However, this does not have live streaming or audio-visual facilities. As such, it is a better option than simply a service at the grave.

Wamberal Cemetery
Wamberal Cemetery is a peaceful, natural setting, surrounded by bushland, with a lagoon in the middle ground and the ocean in the distance. It is also more affordable than Palmdale.
In the absence of high winds, the gravedigger will normally set up a small marquee with half a dozen chairs for added comfort during the service.
Disclosure: The sister company of the private operator of this cemetery is hired by Marc & Friends.

Point Clare Cemetery
Tucked away in the bush just off Brisbane Water Drive, Point Clare Cemetery is another natural and tranquil location. This cemetery is run by the same private company that operates Wamberal Cemetery.

Noraville Cemetery
Set alongside a large stretch of bushland, Noraville Cemetery has a small gazebo for people to pause and reflect, when visiting the cemetery. The cemetery is operated by Central Coast Council.
