Caring for Blayney Families with Compassion

We provide cremation-only services with thoughtful personal touches for families in the Blayney region, including care from Blayney Health Service, aged care facilities, and private homes.

While we are not based in Blayney, our team and partners all operate from regional NSW, ensuring a caring and respectful service.

Personal Touches

As part of our service, we provide a durable and elegant tube urn at no additional cost, available in a choice of 15 designs — ranging from a sunset to red roses — designed to make scattering easier if that is your preference. If your loved one played golf at Blayney Golf Club, there is even one with a golf theme.

For a meaningful farewell, we can print Polaroid photos to place in the coffin or include a copy of a handwritten note, offering a private moment of reflection. Simply email us the photos or note, ensuring our care is not delayed by the postal service while allowing you to add a personal touch.

If you would like your loved one dressed in particular clothing, we can arrange this for an additional fee.

What to Do with the Ashes?

Scattering Ashes

If you choose to scatter the ashes, please note that permission is required. The given authority may also request that scattering takes place at a particular time.

At Home

Another option is to keep them at home. We suggest placing them in a pot of potted colour, which can be a meaningful way to honour their memory.

Interring in a Cemetery

Blayney Shire Council offers several options for interring ashes within its cemeteries.

Niche Wall

Niche walls are purpose-built brick structures with individual recesses designed for the interment of ashes. The placement of ashes in a niche wall can be arranged through a qualified stone mason. Plaques for niche walls must be a fixed dimension and can be ordered through an independent foundry.

For more information, visit burial types available.

Niche wall spaces are available at the following cemeteries:

  • Blayney

  • Carcoar

  • Hobbys Yards

  • Lyndhurst

  • Neville

  • Millthorpe

Interring Ashes in an Existing Grave

Ashes can also be interred in an existing grave. Council permits a maximum of four interments per burial lot.

2024/25 Fees & Application

Including the Ashes Interment Levy, the fees are $729 for either:

  • The Niche Walls

  • Internment of ashes into existing grave

To view the current fees for interment, refer to the Current Fees and Charges document.

Please note:

  • The cost of plaques and any required stone masonry work is not included in the interment fee.

  • A Burial Application is required for interring ashes, using the same form as for burial applications.
