The concept of environmentally friendly coffins and caskets is long-established.

LifeArt
These are made from Enviroboard, a material composed of 97% recycled fibres sourced from recovered cardboard and materials left over from sugar cane processing.
An additional pair of handles — needed where a trolley cannot be used, such as at a burial or an old church building — cost $40.

Greenature™ Caskets
These caskets are approved by the World Fair Trade Organisation. Each is lined with a bamboo fibre lining and has a pillow filled with natural plantation pine wood chip.
