Handcrafted Waratah Casket – Recycled Blackbutt Timber

The most distinctive coffin or casket we offer is the Waratah Casket. This handcrafted Australian casket is made from recycled Blackbutt timber in collaboration with a local artisan on the NSW Central Coast. It reimagines traditional design through honest materials, restrained detailing, and carefully chosen fittings.

As you may have already read, it was submitted to the 2025 Australian Good Design Awards — given the thought and care behind its creation.

Marc recalls that the only times people have truly marvelled at a coffin or casket have been when they've seen the beauty with which this one was made.

As with all our coffins and caskets, we provide the Waratah Casket simply at cost. It is available for $2,499.
