Funeral, cremation and burial services in the Hills
Providing genuine care and thoughtful personal touches for Hills locals.
Before founding Marc and Friends, he served families with funerals, cremations and burials in or near Baulkham Hills, Beaumont Hills, Bella Vista, Box Hill, Castle Hill, Dural, Glenhaven, Kellyville, Kenthurst, Norwest, Rouse Hill, The Ponds, West Pennant Hills, Winston Hills and other areas in the Hills.
Your Options — with Personal Touches and Care
Whatever arrangements you choose — whether a cremation-only service, a funeral and cremation, or a funeral and burial — we provide thoughtful touches of care to all:
Each cremation includes a choice of urns, suitable for keeping or for scattering with dignity if desired.
Every burial includes a basket of rose petals for family and friends to sprinkle on the coffin or casket.
Families arranging a funeral can also choose from coffins and caskets offered at cost, including a distinctive option locally handcrafted from recycled timber.
From the welcome table on the day of the service, we offer quiet care from the very first moment.
Whether or not you choose to have a funeral service, our support continues gently in the weeks that follow, through thoughtful aftercare.
Thanks to families who pay the usual fee, we’re also able to extend the same level of care to those in financial need.

Cremation-Only with Personal Touches and Care
Some families seek a simple and efficient cremation. Others value having time to share stories and memories with us along the way.
Whatever your needs, we are here to support you with thoughtful care — not just with arrangements.
Most families choose for the cremation to take place in South-Western Sydney, as it is our most affordable option. Cremation at a local crematorium is also available, for an additional fee.
Your loved one’s ashes will be returned with care — either directly to you, or to a cemetery or memorial garden, depending on what suits your family best. Collection, delivery, or postage are included at no additional cost.

Here are some common choices in the Hills:
Service at Castlebrook Memorial Park followed by either cremation or burial
Service at a Church followed by either cremation or burial
Funeral at Castlebrook Memorial Park
The Garden Chapel at Castlebrook is filled with natural light, thanks to its large floor-to-ceiling windows near the front. Ample parking is available close by.
For services in the chapel, Marc often encourages families to consider booking extra chapel time, to avoid feeling rushed — especially if you would like to have a private viewing beforehand.
While catering is not offered onsite, many families choose to gather at one of the following local venues for refreshments at nearby venues such as The Fiddler in Rouse Hill; The Australian Brewery, Rouse Hill; The Ettamogah Hotel, Kellyville Ridge; or The Hills Lodge, Castle Hill.

Funeral at a Church
We can arrange for the service to be held at your own church.
Or, if you would like us to help find one for you, we can assist with that too.
If the service is held in a church, a donation to the church may be requested, typically starting from $200.
One of the advantages of holding the service at a church is time.
Unlike at a crematorium, there is usually no strict time limit at a church, allowing for a less hurried and more thoughtful farewell.
Church Service followed by Cremation
Most families choose for the cremation to take place afterwards, unattended, at less expense in Sydney.
By not needing to travel to a crematorium — as is now most common — families can stay together at the church or gather elsewhere for refreshments, without feeling rushed.
The ashes are normally available on the Mountains within a week, in an urn of your choosing.

Church Service followed by Burial
There are a few different options when a church service is part of the day.
Some families choose to have the funeral service at the church, followed by the burial at the cemetery — providing a natural continuity between the two moments.
Others choose to have a private service at the cemetery before a public service at the church, which can make arranging refreshments and gatherings easier.
The total below excludes grave, interment, chapel and other cemetery fees.
